The State of South Africa’s Fathers 2018 report examines the landscape of data available on fatherhood in South Africa. It serves as an overview of the state of men and caregiving in South Africa, and showcases under-researched aspects of fatherhood and care work, moving beyond simplistic interpretations. As an advocacy tool for the MenCare campaign, the report provides recommendations for policy and laws that promote equitable, nonviolent fatherhood and caregiving.
